Arlberg

Arlberg is a group of mountains found in between two European countries. The two nations are Germany and Austria. The biggest apex is the Valluga at 2,811 meters. The ski area of Ski Arlberg is located in the Arlberg group of mountains in two Austrian states. The states are Vorarlberg and Tyrol. The area is made up of two parts, namely: Arlberg East and Arlberg West.

Arlberg East is made up of the following villages, namely: St. Anton am Arlberg, St. Christoph am Arlberg and Stuben am Arlberg. The Arlberg West has three villages namely; Oberlech, Lech am Arlberg, and Zurs am Arlberg.

Arlberg is such a place for socialization as well as a legendary tourist destination. It is equally interesting and famous. Many experienced tourism enthusiasts regard Arlberg as the origin and most wanted place of global ski sport. 

The special power of Arlberg became more evident and enticing some three years back. Then, the gondolas of the new Flexenbahn cable car moved over the strong massif from Alpe Rauz to Zurs. They connected Tirol with Vorarlberg for the very first time in what is now Austria’s largest connected ski resort.

St. Christoph is the biggest village on the Arlberg. It has the longest history with hospitality. Little wonder, a hospice for weak travelers and pilgrims was built at this high mountain pass measuring 1,800 meter. The famous Ski-Club Arlberg was established in St. Christoph in 1901.

Some new techniques that came from St. Christoph soon became a global trend. Consequently, the effects can be seen around us even to this day. Visitors can now have an unbelievable option for holidays.
